inforamtion

Get the most out of your decommissioned equipment! We’ll show you how make money and save money. With over 25 years of experience we know how to streamline the process the disposition of IT assets, while minimizing costs to your business.

Which products can be considered? We’ve worked with companies on all of their equipment, including: servers, storage, tape libraries, routers/switches, laptops, notebooks, think clients, tablets, telephone systems and POS systems.

How will you decide? When computer hardware reaches the end of its usable life, IT departments must deal with the dual threats of securely destroying data properly, as well as finding value for no longer needed equipment. Enterprises with old equipment need to decide whether to refurbish, resell, recycle or dispose of business equipment.
NASI offers a variety of services to help companies recycle as well as pay for the retired equipment.

ITAD is a result of the need for a solution when replacing business equipment:

  • Data security means storage devices must be securely wiped clean
  • Disposal of ecologically-sensitive materials must be done properly or businesses may face fines.
  • Information about how ecologically -sensitive components should be disposed of is not common knowledge.

We get the job done. We’ll inventory your retired equipment, refurb the hardware, and sell it to the used market, helping companies offset the cost of new equipment. We help businesses recoup losses due to environmental fees.

Our ITAD Process:

Step 1: is one of evaluation and discovery. Our specialists are required to go through a detailed evaluation process that consists of creating a list by make/model, serial number and equipment quantity. Once the evaluation process is completed, NASI specialists will determine if the equipment needs to be recycled or if it can be resold in the secondary market. If the equipment can be recycled or resold, we will pick up equipment at location(s) free of charge.

Step 2: Auditing and Reporting. Once an IT asset enters our disposal facility, it is immediately received and tracked by machine, model, serial number, condition, etc. This allows for explicit asset tracking of equipment throughout the entire disposition process.

Step 3: Data Destruction. NASI has a number of data destruction options available, including a software-based data wipe, degaussing, or shredding.

Step 4: Chain of Custody and Certificate of Destruction. When the process is complete, you are provided with a certification of destruction/recycling for each serial number, protecting your organization from scandals and accusations of impropriety. Our auditable paper trail demonstrates that your performed due diligence throughout the process, with a partner committed to Best Practices that comply with international guidelines as well as applicable local standards.
