Drawing less than a maximum of 220 watts of power, the Sun Fire T1000 features an UltraSPARC T1 processors with up to 8 core, which can deliver up to 32 simultaneous threads in a compact, 1U rack-mounted form factor. The CoolThreads chip multithreading technology (CMT) on the UltraSPARC T1 CPUs feature 16KB of data cache, 8KB of instruction cache, and 3MB of integrated L2 cache.

Memory is expandable within the small, space- and energy-efficient footprint of the Sun T1000, featuring 8 DDR DIMM memory slots with Chipkill and DRAM sparing, and ECC registration, fitting up to 16GB of memory in a single server.

Sun T1000 M2 RAID & Storage

The Sun Fire T1000 server can support a 250GB 7K RPM 3.5" SATA drive or two 73GB 10K RPM 2.5" SAS drives. Internal RAID 0 and RAID 1 are supported.
