Sophos Email Security Appliance

Sophos email security appliance solutions are designed to reduce the time and effort spent on managing email gateways. These managed, hardened appliance solutions deliver protection with less effort, reducing much of the administrative burden, while providing confidence and unattended uptime.

Sophos remotely monitors these appliances with their unique technology to ensure they provide up-to-the-minute protection and availability. They are designed to connect with Sophos every five minutes to receive the latest threat definition updates, and if for any reason, it fails to connect (due to system instability or a compromised protection status), it alerts administrators with a visual, email and direct notification to take corrective actions.

The Sophos email security appliances are available in three configurations:

• ES8000, with a capacity of up to 550,000 messages per hour
• ES5000, with a capacity of up to 380,000 messages per hour
• ES1000, with a capacity of up to 50,000 messages per hour

These gateways also include intuitive reporting tools, featuring an interface that takes only 3 clicks to go anywhere you want to. In addition, you can view quarantine capacity on the fly.

Sophos SafeGuard MailGateway

This standalone email encryption appliance features SafeGuard encryption software, providing a powerful, flexible encryption solution in a standalone configuration. This hardware appliance integrates seamlessly with other Sophos email security products, as well as any SMTP email infrastructure.

PureMessage for UNIX

Ideally suited for larger organizations, the Sophos PureMessage for UNIX solution features flexible deployment and policy options so it can adapt to a wide variety of specific email requirements. This solution is designed to deliver full protection and policy enforcement with minimal manual administrative intervention.

PureMessage for Microsoft Exchange

Sophos’ comprehensive anti-malware and anti-spam protection solution for Windows Exchange groupware and SMTP gateways integrates with Microsoft Active Directory to enable security administrators to implement policies and content rules that can be applied to inbound, outbound, and internal email. Sophos PureMessage for Microsoft Exchange supports all common Exchange cluster models, and can utilize multiple server installations to be managed and monitored from a centralized management console.

PureMessage for Lotus Domino

Extend anti-malware and anti-spam to Lotus Domino implementations. Sophos PureMessage for Lotus Domino enables security administrators to setup specific security policies and content rules whether the email is inbound, outbound, or internal. Setup policies based on keywords, sensitive information, and true file types and apply unique rules. With this software, you can also setup configurable disclaimers to be appended to outgoing email messages, and management is easy with a Notes-based administrative console for management and configuration.
