Sophos Network Access Control (NAC) Advanced helps protect data and information, by providing access only to authorized users. Check any computer accessing the network, whether they are owned by the company or not, and provide or block access accordingly. Ensure that all computers, even roaming laptops, have up-to-date operating system patches, are running the right up-to-date anti-virus solution, and have their firewall enable prior to being granted access to the network.

Multiple sites and access points can be monitored centrally, and policy checks are not only performed prior to access being granted, it also checks periodically during the network session. Granular control can be enabled with Sophos NAC Advanced, so specific policies can be setup for specific users and groups, providing them with access only to the information, servers, and application that they need.

Data loss can be prevented and enhanced with Sophos NAC Advanced, preventing access to unwanted applications, like P2P file sharing, and the reporting capabilities with 18 SQL Views allow administrators to monitor and manage industry regulatory compliance and compliance with internal policies. Real-time and historical data is available for performing sophisticated analysis as well as reporting and trending information.

Users found outside of compliance can be automatically quarantined, or be automated assisted to fix the problem, such as if an executive’s anti-virus was out-of-date, without requiring disruption or technical assistance. There is an extensive range of over 1300 pre-defined security applications and patch compliance assessments, and custom-built ones can be created.
