In a 3U form-factor, the SGI IS350 holds up to 16 SATA drives, delivering high density in a small footprint. With the newest 500GB SATA disks, you can fit up to 8TB storage into a single enclosure, and up to 24TB with expansion modules.
The SGI InfiniteStorage 350 SATA array is highly available, featuring redundant, hot-swappable RAID controllers, disk drives, cooling fans, and cached battery backup. The online storage management software further maximizes availability with automated path failover & mirrored cache.
In addition to maximizing availability, the storage management features of the SGI IS350 centralize administration, configuration and maintain functions via an online GUI or command line interface. The management features also include storage partitioning, snapshot, volume copy and remote mirroring.
The four 4Gbps FC host interfaces the InfiniteStorage 350 includes are backwards compatible to 2Gbps & 1Gbps technology, preserving existing IT investments. With dual active controllers, up to 800Gbps throughput can be achieved for applications that require high I/O.
