The Silicon Graphics InfiniteStorage 220 is a high-performance storage stolution at a cost-effective price. Ideal for storage consolidation, data backup, disaster recovery and file storage, the IS220 includes management features that streamline deployment & delivers integrated software for a flexible, applicance-like design.

The IS220 can support up to 12 integrated disk drives, with the ability to add another 36 via 3 add-on enclosures. The InfiniteStorage 220 “B” model offers SATA compatibility, allowing you to scale up to 24TB in a single system, while the “E” model delivers active/active RAID controllers and advanced management options such as SnapCopy & VolumeCopy, which simplifies data replication.

The SGI IS220 features 4Gbps FC and 3Gbps SAS connectivity, and offers the choice of RAID levels 0, 1, 5 & 0+1. Implement these storage arrays into a SAN environment, or utilize multiple direct attachments to servers, for heterogeneous backup across multiple platforms. The InfiniteStorage 220 allows you to expand capacity, create, map and expand volumes, and update firmware without disruption.
