The optional expansion option allows you to link up to five library frames together to run as one large system. In addition to being compatible Quantum's highly reliable DLT, Super DLT, or LTO Ultrium tape drive and cartridges, the P-Series libraries feature hot-swappable tape drives, power modules and fans, to reduce downtime and ensure against the disruption of your backup operations.

You can remotely monitor and manage library status from any Web portal, with options to receive library status warnings via email or pager. The Prism Storage Architecture ensures that your Quantum P-Series automated libraries will be able to accept the latest interfaces and management options. Highly interoperable, the P-Series supports SCSI, Fibre Channel, and Gigabit Ethernet (NDMP) connections, and the new GbE (Gigabit Ethernet) libraries have been on the cutting edge of the new iSCSI storage technology. The Quantum P-Series automated libraries can seamlessly be integrated into Storage Area Networks, (SANs) with the Fibre Channel option.

The P-Series libraries have been engineered to minimize the TCO (total cost of ownership) by providing savings in installation costs, power consumption, cooling requirements, floor space and service.
