QLogic SilverStorm 10Gbps & 20Gbps Infiniband Switching

For cost-effective Infiniband switching, the QLogic SilverStorm 9000 Series are scalable, high-performance switches that support up to 20Gbps connectivity, and support for Ethernet and Fibre Channel connections.

The 9000 Series also has an optional InfiniBand Fabric Suite (IFS) management solution that provides expanded fabric views and a powerful set of management tools for HPC and clustered computing users.

SilverStorm 9024 Switch

This high-performance 24-port Infiniband switch is an ideal entry-level platform for HPC, data and grid clustering tasks. This 1U switch is available in 10Gbps SDR and 20Gbps DDR configurations, and support copper and Fiber Optic cables.

It features latency of less than 140 nanoseconds, and the non-disruptive code load and activation, and fully-redundant power, cooling and logic components ensures maximum uptime. Management can be performed out-of-band with an Ethernet port.

SilverStorm 9000 Fabric Directors

These integrated cluster computing Fabric Directors support 10Gbps SDR Infiniband and 20Gbps DDR InfiniBand controllers to support HPC computing with integrated virtual I/O controllers. This series includes a common set of spine, leaf and virtual I/O controller modules across all Fabric sizes. The QLogic 9000 Fabric Directors also support 1Gbps, 2Gbps, and 4Gbps Fibre Channel connectivity, and 10Gbps Ethernet virtual I/O interface options. Power, cooling and logic components are all fully redundant for maximum availability, and they support both copper and Fiber Optic InfiniBand cables.
