IP SAN Solutions

LeftHand Networks IP SAN solution enables industry-standard x86 servers and low-cost, ubiquitous iSCSI storage devices to be used to create a centralized storage pool that can be dynamically provisioned to application servers.

LeftHand Networks SAN/iQ software builds a simple, open storage architecture that virtualizes all hardware resources to create a high-performance iSCSI SAN. Performance is scaled as capacity is added, since every storage module has its own processors, memory and I/O.

High availability of data is provided with a LeftHand Networks IP SAN solution. In addition to the automated redundancy provided, upgrades to storage capacity, the addition of storage modules, and the expansion of existing storage volumes does not cause any user disuption or downtime.

Thin Provisioning 2.0 for SAN/iQ eliminates the need to pre-allocate storage resources for various volumes and application servers. SAN volumes are “shrink-wrapped”, and the software layer automatically allocates storage as needed.

Simplify Backup
