Utilizing Remote Journaling as the replication engine offloads
most of the processor load required for replication activity to
the backup machine, and put the remaining processing load on the
production machine beneath the operating system.
This approach reduces the latency of replication data and processes, which also increases the transaction integrity of databases.
iTera’s unique approach to their high availability software also allows them to price it very aggressively, compared to competing iSeries and AS/400 high availability software options.
