The HP StorageWorks MSA 70 is a drive enclosure designed to provide low-cost expansion of storage for HP Integrity & HP ProLiant servers that have run out of capacity. This Modular Storage Array delivers storage tiering without requiring the move into a SAN or NAS environment.

• up to 25 SFF drives in a 2U form factor
• choose between high-performance SAS or high-capacity SATA drives; mix-and-match within the same enclosure
• 3.6TB maximum SAS capacity, 6.2TB SATA maximum capacity
• 3Gbps SAS host connectivity
• supports 1+1 cascading, which allows you to add an additional enclosure and form a single controller port
• RAID 0, 1, 1+0, 5, and RAID 6 data protection
• hot-pluggable disk drives
• standard redundant, hot-plug power supplies and disk drives
• clustering support in HP-UX
• supports boot from storage
• add second I/O module for dual domain capability
