The HP MSA 2000sa SAN systems provides shared disk storage over serial-attached SCSI (SAS) to up to four hosts.
The base unit of the MSA 2000sa has 12 disk drive bays that support dual-port high-performance SAS or high-capacity SATA drives, providing up to 5.4TB of SAS or 12TB of SATA storage in a single, 2U enclosure. In addition, 3 more MSA2000 expansion enclosures can be added to the base enclosure to expand to 21.6TB of SAS or 48TB of SATA disk. You can mix-and-match SAS and SATA drives in the same enclosure.
Offered in single- or dual-controller models which can be configured in active/active for high availability. The HP MSA 2000sa includes 1GB cache, and 3Gbps SAS direct attach for up to 4 hosts, and can support up to 256 LUNs of sizes up to 16TB. In addition, the StorageWorks MSA 2000sa supports Windows and Linux clustering, SAN backup support, and OV storage mirroring,
