StorageWorks 2000fc Modular Smart Array

The HP StorageWorks MSA 2000fc is a 2U high-performance Fibre Channel SAN solution for small and medium-sized IT infrastructures, and branch offices that require 4Gbps FC throughput.

Each HP MSA 2000fc starts with a 2U base unit with 12 drive bays, and it is expandable to up to 3 expansion units and 48 drives. With dual-ported, high-performance SAS drives, the HP MSA2000fc can support up to 21.6TB of storage, and with high-capacity, archival-class SATA drives, it can expand up to 48TB of storage. You can mix-and-match SAS and SATA drives in the same enclosure too. Dual, hot-pluggable replacement of controllers, enclosures, fans, power supplies and I/O modules can be performed for online expansion and replacement without disruption. Availability is further increased with active/active controllers and dual-ported drives.

With its new controller and 1GB cache, the MSA2000fc is able to support up to 64 Fibre Channel-attached hosts. Also, the StorageWorks MSA 2000fc can support up to 256 LUNs of sizes up to 16TB, and support RAID 0, 1, 3, 5, 6, 10, 50 RAID levels. This HP MSA model supports clustering under Linux and Windows, SAN backup, and OV storage mirroring.
