With synchronous mirroring, you can also migrate data from older disks to newer disks with no downtime, and failure protection of RAID is enhanced by FalconStor ability to mirror across multiple cabinets.
This synchronous hard drive mirroring does not increase the load on the application server, as IPStor takes care of the mirroring operations, which reduces I/O requests and CPU demands on processing dual write commands.
Vendor-neutral and protocol independent, you can have the primary and synchronously mirrored disk from different vendors, and it doesn't matter if has a fibre interface and the other is iSCSI.
