Black Diamond

The Black Diamond 6808 and 6816 switches are designed uniquely, with carrier-class fault tolerance for enterprise-sized data networks, that require the highest level of availability and scalability from 10/100BASE-TX to 1- and 10-Gigabit Ethernet. The 6808 model supports up to 64 Gigabit Ethernet ports with the 8-port G8Xi or G8Ti modules, and up to 96 with the G12SXi module. It has a 128 Gbps backplane which support up to 96 million packets/second throughput. With 10/100 MB/second and 100BASE-FX connections, the 6808 can have up to 672 10/100 ports with the F96Ti module, and 256 100BASE-FX with the F32Fi. The 6816 Black Diamond leads the industry with a density of up to 192 Gigabit Ethernet ports in a single chassis, and can support up to 1440 10/100BASE-TX ports when fully populated with the F96Ti module. Alpine

The Alpine 3800 series chassis switches are designed for large-scale area networks. This platform provides for total Ethernet coverage, with support for both standard Category 5 and fiber optic media. The three models offered are the 3802, 3804, and 3808. The 3808 features hot-swappable and interchangeable modules, power supplies, and fan trays, and nine slots for modules, one of which is occupied by the SMMi (Switch Management Module). The 3804 also includes hot-swappable and interchangeable modules, power supplies, and fan trays, and five slots, one of which is occupies by the SMMi, which manages the switch forwarding database and routing tables, and processes all route protocol updates. The 3802 model comes with three slots, and hot-swappable and interchangeable modules.

Summit 7i

A high density, stackable switch that offers non-blocking wire-speed IP/IPX routing and switching to servers farms, aggregated switches and network backbones, the Summit 7i can transform a number of Gigabit Ethernet connection into one high-bandwidth pipe. It can support 64 Gbps non-blacking switch fabric bandwidth.

Summit 5i

Another switch for mid-tier aggregation, this switch integrates non-blocking Wire-Speed IP/IPX Routing and Layer 2 switches with advanced capabilities like Policy-Based Quality of Service, server load balancing, web cache redirection and access control lists. This model is available in three configurations, which all include 1000BASE-X ports, and twelve ports with either 100/1000BASE-T, 1000BASE-SX, or 1000BASE-LX.

Summit 1i

This is an ideal switch for mid-tier aggregation in enterprise, basement customer premise equipment, for a variety of networks. Available in two configurations, all with two GBIC-based 1000BASE-X ports, and the choice between six 100/1000BASE-T or 1000BASE-SX ports. The 1i also includes redundant power supplies.
