Maintain legacy Twinax devices at remote sites

With the eTwinax Controller, you can replace your traditional SDLC connections with a standard WAN (wide area network) over TCP/IP, without having to replace legacy Twinax devices.

Utilizing the eTwinax controller, your twinax terminals and high-speed printers will show up as TN5250 devices. PCs can connect to the AS/400 from remote sites as well, by using dumb terminal emulation, or by installing Bosanova TCP/IP or any IBM TCP/IP drivers.

Requirements:

• Local site: a fixed LAN connection and the BOS Java-based SECURIT-e Server™, which can run from the AS/400 or any PC
• Remote site: any connection to the internet, whether it be a leased line from an ISP, or a standard dialup account

Secure

With the eTwinax controller from Bosanova and Boscom, your 5250 traffic is encrypted with industry-standard algorithms, which is then sent from the Twinax devices to the controller, which is then deciphered at the Java-based server and sent to the AS/400 or iSeries. This solutions even supports two parallel connections to two different ISPs, which allow for increased bandwidth, speed, and reliability.
