Connect existing iSCSI architecture to your FC SAN

The QLogic SANbox 6140 intelligent storage routers feature multi-protocol connectivity that enables iSCSI devices to connect to existing Fibre Channel storage. With this technology you can consolidate islands of storage located on low-cost servers with iSCSI, to Fibre Channel-based storage on your SAN.

The SANbox 6140 includes:

• 2 auto-sensing, fully duplexed 2Gbps/1Gbps ports
• 2 auto-sensing, fully duplexed Gigabit Ethernet ports compatible with 10/100/1000Mbps
• additional support beyond iSCSI, for FCP-SCSI & FCIP
• RS-232 serial & Ethernet 10/100 BaseT over RJ45 management ports

Interoperable with all FC SW-2 compliant Fibre channel switches, the QLogic 6140 transforms your Fibre Channel storage into multi-protocol storage, reducing server connectivity costs while allowing you to simplify management, increase availability, and enable the archival and remote replication of data from the DAS (direct attached storage) on your low-cost servers with an iSCSI software initiator and native Fibre Channel storage connectivity.

The QLogic SANbox 6140 management software features an intuitive, wizard-based installation and configuration module, and support for Ethernet Jumbo frames and VLAN. In addition, SNMP & SMI-S agents are included, as well as the ability to shape traffic to 10/100/1000Mbps from the iSCSI interfaces.
