4Gbps SAN SAN Fibre Channel Connectivity

The QLogic SANbox 5600 switches pack up to 64 4Gbps ports in a flexible, scalable package. Start with as few as 8 ports, and scale to 16 ports in a single unit. Upgrade in 4-port increments with software-keyed increments, allowing you to scale up without disrupting your SAN infrastructure or bringing a technician onsite. Utilize 10Gbps ISL links to stack up to 4 units and up to 64 ports. These 4Gbps ports are auto-sensing and completely backwards-compatible with 2Gbps and 1Gbps fibre connections.

The QLogic SANbox 5600 model has a single integrated power supply, while the 5602 model increases availability with dual, hot-swappable power supplies. Interoperable with all FC SW-2 compliant Fibre channel switches, the QLogic 5600 offers full-fabric, public-loop, or switch-to-switch connectivity on 4Gbps front ports.

The SANbox 5600 features graphical user interface wizards that allow administrators to successfully configure, zoning and provide extended distance connectivity, without having to be SAN experts. These fibre switches can be managed in-band or out-of-band with Telnet and SNMP management access.
