QPort Access
Empower Your UsersQport Access empowers Windows users with the ability to execute IQ Server queries from their PC and transfer the results to popular Windows applications.
No ODBC middleware and the accompanied security concerns are needed with Qport Access. Users access the iSeries data via IQ Server, executing the query in batch, and transfers only the finished report to their desired desktop application.
Since Qport Access supports TCP/IP, remote users and other authorized business partners can access the data they need with a username and password. Utilize NGSI SeQure to enhance security and control access to sensitive company data.

With Qport Access, users are given the ability to run sophisticated reports with complex record selection criteria, conditional calculations and summary level new fields, extensive formatting, file joins, member support, and summary or detailed output.
Utilize the ad hoc query functionality for run-time calculations, allowing users to change discount formulas, data ranges, customer names or item numbers without revising the query.
The results of your query can be downloaded to almost any desktop application, including Word, Excel, Access, Lotus 1-2-3 and other business productivity tools. Maintain formatting, create spreadsheet from the generated data, and map the data into the application as needed.
Qport Access also supports the results of queries being sent to a Windows display, an ASCII or iSeries printer, or an iSeries IFS or DB2™ file. You can also transfer to host for other departments and databases, or transfer results into SmartView for OLAP analysis.
