Where Innovation
Meets Solutions

The IBM TS7700 is a powerful and robust virtual tape server that optimizes your tape backup, archival and retention operations.
Leveraging your existing storage hardware, the TS7700 can introduce a tiered storage hierarchy designed to reduce backup windows, batch processing times, and bottlenecks.
With a standard web browser, you can remotely configure and monitor the IBM TS7700. The remote management client provides access to information about storage system status and resource utilization statistics.
Capable of supporting up to 500,000 virtual volumes, the TS7700 also include multiple modes of synchronous and asynchronous replications, which can be applied to various volumes based on policies.
Advanced features of the TS7700 Virtualization include:
Cache Management - influence the retention of virtual volumes in cache
Volume Pooling - group logical volumes together on sets of physical volumes
Selective Logical Volume Copy - create copies on different cartridges as needed
