The IBM LS20 blade servers support up to two high-performance 2.8GHz AMD Opteron processors in each blade server, delivering an extremely high density of computing power for HPC (high performance computing) applications.
These blade servers also features high-performance features like VLP (very low profile) memory that maximizes the amount of memory you can install, and expansion capabilities for Fibre Channel, Ethernet, Myrinet and Infiniband. The LS20 supports 64-bit applications, but has Intel Extended Memory 64 Technology to support 32-bit applications, and smooth transitions to 64-bit computing.
