GSI has implemented and installed numerous Rorke Galaxy JBOD and RAID systems for customers in the prepress industry. It is our experience that the Galaxy fibre disk subsystems provide the perfect cost-effective, high-bandwidth storage solutions for digital asset repositories in prepress and graphics-intensive computing environments.

These systems can be configured as JBODs or RAIDs, and include:

  • Rorke Data Logo 3U enclosure size
  • dual controllers
  • 16 FC drives/enclosure
  • 18, 36, 73, or 146GB drives
  • 15,000 RPM drives
  • four Fibre Channel host ports
  • hot-swappable controllers, power supplies, and cooling
  • 72-hour battery backup
  • support for RAID 0, 1, (0+1), 3, 5, 10, 30, and 50

Utilizing the Rorke Storage Array Manager, you can configure and monitor your storage subsystems remotely with a broswer-based interface. You can also scale these subsystems to form an array with up to 240 drives, 16 partitions, and 128 LUNs.
