Hitachi fibre disk arrays have been traditionally used for mission-critical, bandwidth-intensive nearline and in band storage applications, but HDS has developed the new 9520V Thunder modular storage systems for small but serious business users and applications.

The new HDS Thunder 9500V series of modular storage solutions are designed to simplify and consolidate application server data storage into a single data pool, across multiple platforms. Offloading storage to an HDS device allows you to perform disk-to-disk and disk-to-tape backups at anytime, without having to affect the performance of your production servers and LAN.

The 9585 V and 9570 V models allow you to mix and match Fibre and SATA drives, to ensure the right combination of price, bandwidth, and capacity for your prepress environment.
