The Apple Xserve RAID disk systems provides high-performance Fibre channel RAID at a low price. The Xserve RAID is unique, in that Apple has developed a specialized Ultra-ATA to Fibre-channel architecture to provide superior reliability and performance at a reduced cost. You can scale capacity without sacrificing performance, because every one of the 400GB, 7200 RPM ATA disks has an independent drive channel.
